We offer high-quality electric bike conversion kits designed for bicycles with rear dropouts measuring 135 mm or wider and HG cassette drivetrains from 1 to 11 speed.
This lightweight 250W geared hub motor kit is compact, efficient and powerful for its size, making it an excellent choice for building a practical everyday electric bike. ⚡
Typical performance on private land: approximately 20–25 mph, depending on the battery voltage selected, rider weight, terrain, weather and riding conditions.
When purchased with one of our optional compact LG battery packs, the typical riding range is approximately 15–30 miles per charge. Range will vary depending on the battery selected, assistance level, terrain, rider weight and how the bike is ridden.
UK public roads: Road-Legal Mode limits assistance to 15.5 mph (25 km/h) using pedal assistance only.

⚖️ Road-Legal Mode – UK

• 🔘 Hold the down button on the display to activate Road-Legal Mode
  👣 A walk/person icon will appear when the mode is active
  🚴 Limits pedal assistance to 15.5 mph (25 km/h)
  🚫 Disables the throttle while Road-Legal Mode is active
  ✅ For UK public-road use, the bicycle must be operated using pedal assistance only

🔋 Optional Compact LG Battery Packages

• Choose from three lightweight battery options. Every battery is manufactured using original LG 18650 3.7V 3500mAh lithium-ion cells and includes a 20A Battery Management System.
  Each battery package is supplied with a 2A UK charger. These compact batteries are lightweight, easy to remove and convenient to carry, making them an excellent match for this lightweight conversion kit.
  
  🔹 36V 7Ah LG Battery – Small Case
  Manufactured using original LG 18650 3.7V 3500mAh cells with a 20A BMS. The compact battery case measures approximately 230 mm long. This is the smallest and lightest option, making it ideal for bicycles with limited frame space or riders who want a battery that is easy to remove and transport.
  🔹 36V 10.5Ah LG Battery – Medium Case
  Manufactured using original LG 18650 3.7V 3500mAh cells with a 20A BMS. The medium-sized battery case measures approximately 300 mm long. Its increased capacity provides an improved riding range while remaining compact, lightweight and easy to carry.
  🔹 48V 7Ah LG Battery – Medium Case
  Manufactured using original LG 18650 3.7V 3500mAh cells with a 20A BMS. The medium-sized battery case measures approximately 300 mm long. The higher voltage provides stronger performance and a higher unrestricted speed on private land while retaining a compact and lightweight design.
  🔋 These battery options are ideal for riders who want a lightweight electric bicycle without fitting a large, heavy battery. Their compact design makes the bike easier to handle and allows the battery to be conveniently removed and transported when required.
  
  Typical riding range: approximately 15–30 miles per charge, depending on the battery selected, assistance level, rider weight, terrain, tyre pressure, weather and riding style. Using higher assistance levels, frequent throttle use, steep hills or riding continuously at higher speeds will reduce the available range.

⚙️ Cassette Options

• We can install a 7, 8, 9 or 10-speed cassette if you add one to your order from our store.
  ℹ️ A 7-speed cassette requires a 2.5 mm spacer.

🧩 Use Without Certain Accessories

• 🏁 The kit may be operated using the throttle only or without the PAS on private land
  ⚠️ For UK public-road use, the PAS must be installed and the throttle must remain disabled

🛠️ Installation Tips

• 🔧 A chain whip and cassette removal tool are required and are available separately from our store
  🧲 Ensure the motor axle sits fully inside both frame dropouts before tightening the 19 mm axle nuts
  🛑 Remove the transport spacer before installing the disc brake rotor
  🧴 Lightly grease the cassette splines before installing the cassette
  🛞 Consider using puncture-resistant or slime-filled inner tubes
  🧷 Removing the brake caliper may make wheel installation easier
  🔌 If the wheel does not spin freely, check that the phase wires or motor connections are not damaged or touching
  🧵 Apply thread-lock to the disc rotor bolts and ensure they cannot contact the motor cable
  🗜️ Check and retighten the spoke tension after the first few rides
  🦾 We recommend fitting a suitable torque arm for additional axle support and safety

• Prefer a full-twist throttle? 🌀 Leave a note at checkout and we will swap the supplied half-twist throttle for a full-twist version.
